Downtown San Diego and the cruise terminal sit about the same distance the other direction, so a pier-side pickup headed to either one takes roughly what the airport run does. CBX, out past the border, adds another 15 to 20 minutes on top of that, and LAX is the longest transfer we run from here, at close to two hours.

Airport Runs from Oceanside

How Pricing Works
At roughly 40 to 45 minutes and 36 miles from SAN, Oceanside sits toward the far end of the flat-rate band we quote — long enough that the fare reflects real highway time, but still a single trip with one start and one end, which is exactly what a flat rate is built for. Wait time is already folded in: about 60 minutes from a domestic gate, about 75 for international, so a slow bag claim during a festival weekend doesn't turn into a separate charge.
Hourly hire makes more sense on a different kind of day — landing at SAN, stopping at a hotel downtown, then continuing up to the resort — where one vehicle covers the whole run instead of three separate bookings. Festival weekends here and the Del Mar meet countywide both tighten availability, so we'd book those earlier rather than later.
