Everywhere else in Chula Vista is more ordinary: J Street Marina now caps parking at three hours across the board, which rules it out as a place to leave a vehicle waiting through a long dinner.
I-805 is the reliable spine through town, especially in the morning; SR-54 and SR-125 cut east-west and toward the tolled route south. San Ysidro border traffic can back up past Beyer Boulevard at peak times, and while that mainly affects southbound travel, it's worth building into a night that ends anywhere near the border.

Airport Runs from Chula Vista
At about 20 minutes via I-5/I-805, SAN is one of the closer airport runs in this book, and CBX — the walkway into Tijuana's airport — is even closer at about 15 minutes, which matters for a group flying a route that only departs from Mexico. For a SAN pickup, we stage on the commercial curb lane at the Arrivals level, separate from the rideshare lane, and confirm which terminal before the vehicle leaves the resort, so a large group isn't rerouted across the terminal on foot.
