Getting Around Hillcrest
Metered street parking in Hillcrest runs 10am to 8pm Monday through Saturday, free before 10am, after 8pm, and on Sundays and holidays — workable most weekends, but Fifth Avenue dead-ends at Washington Street and the spaces near the restaurant and bar corridor fill fast during ordinary peak dining hours, let alone Pride weekend.
For a reception at Hillcrest Loft or Abpopa Hillcrest, we don't plan on holding curbside through the whole event. We confirm a nearby stand point and bring the vehicle around on your signal, the same way we'd handle any Village pickup where street space is the real constraint, not distance.
Washington Street, the Village's northern edge, connects down into Mission Valley and I-8 but is occasionally closed for Caltrans ramp work, so we check current conditions before routing a getaway car that way. SR-163 itself has on- and off-ramps at Washington Street and 6th Avenue, a fast link south when the ceremony and reception sit on opposite sides of the neighborhood.

Airport Runs from Hillcrest
From Hillcrest, the airport run is short enough — under 15 minutes most of the day — that a same-day fly-in ahead of a rehearsal dinner is realistic even with a late-afternoon flight.
The exception is Pride weekend itself, when closures reaching from University Avenue into the Village can add real time to any trip in or out of the neighborhood, airport run included, so we build that in rather than quote the normal drive time.
