Comic-Con International fills the San Diego Convention Center from July 22 to 26 in 2026, and Del Mar's summer race meet runs Thursday through Sunday from July 17 through Labor Day - the two biggest strains on vehicle availability anywhere in the county, and both land months after most San Diego-area high schools hold their spring prom. When San Diego Books Prom Limo
San Diego's headline weekends - Comic-Con week and the Del Mar summer meet - both fall in summer, after most spring proms are already booked. How many people the vehicle needs to hold, and how much room the evening's presentation calls for, is a question we work out with the parent booking it - not a default we apply to every group the same way.

How Pricing Works
A prom booking is quoted against an hourly minimum, the same as any evening chauffeur booking, but the pickup and drop-off window is fixed by the parent rather than left open - so it's usually priced as a single flat block covering the whole night rather than hour-by-hour add-ons once you're underway.
Gratuity is either built into the quote as a set convention or left to your discretion, and we confirm which applies before you book. A pickup south of the city that crosses SR-125 carries that road's variable toll, passed through as part of the quote. None of it holds steady against the calendar - a request for a Saturday several area schools have already picked is a tighter conversation on availability than an ordinary spring weekend, because the vehicle and the chauffeur are what's scarce, not the hour.

At booking we ask for the exact pickup address and time, every stop the evening includes, a confirmed drop-off time, and a direct contact for the parent arranging it. We assign one chauffeur to your booking and confirm their name before the day, and the no-alcohol rule holds regardless of what the group asks for once the evening starts.
Book a few weeks ahead for an ordinary spring Saturday. On the handful of dates when several area schools land their prom on the same weekend, book as early as you can - those nights commit the fastest of any on our calendar.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is alcohol ever allowed in the vehicle during a prom booking?
No. Every prom booking we run is alcohol-free, and the chauffeur enforces that standard regardless of what the group asks for once the evening is underway. It isn't a preference we adjust for a specific request or a persuasive student - it holds for the entire booking, at every stop, for every passenger, without exception, and it's the first thing we confirm with the parent arranging the night.
Who does the chauffeur report to if plans change during the night?
The parent who booked the evening. We give you a direct way to reach the chauffeur or our office, not a general dispatch line, so if a stop changes, the timing shifts, or the group's plans move around mid-evening, you're talking to the person who can actually adjust the itinerary rather than working through a call center that has to track someone else down.
Do you assign a licensed, insured chauffeur to every prom booking?
Yes. Every vehicle we run operates under our CPUC TCP permit with insurance filed against it, and the chauffeur assigned to your booking is confirmed by name before the night - not decided the day of, and not left open to whoever happens to be free that evening. That confirmation is part of the booking itself, not an extra step you have to request.
Can the evening include a photo stop, like Balboa Park, before the dance?
Yes - a lot of prom nights build in a portrait or photo stop before the dance itself, and Balboa Park is a common choice. Tell us the location when you book and it becomes part of the fixed itinerary rather than a detour worked out on the way. The park gets noticeably busier with tourist traffic in summer, but a spring evening there is usually easy to plan around.
Does traffic on I-5 or SR-163 affect prom-night timing?
It can, especially on a weekday evening. Rush on I-5 through downtown typically runs from about 3 to 7pm, and SR-163 through Balboa Park has its own slower stretches at points in the evening. We build your evening's actual timing into the schedule when we plan the route with you, rather than pricing the trip off a clear-road assumption and hoping it holds.
Does a pickup south of the city add a toll to the booking?
If the route crosses SR-125, the South Bay Expressway, yes - that's a variable-rate toll, and we pass it through as part of the quote rather than fold it into a flat rate that doesn't reflect the actual route. It only applies if your specific pickup and drop-off addresses actually use that road, which we confirm with you before the night.
How far ahead should we book for prom season?
A few weeks ahead is usually enough for an ordinary Saturday early in the spring. If your school's date lands on one of the handful of weekends several San Diego-area schools share, book as early as you can - those nights fill fastest, since every family on that weekend is chasing the same short list of licensed chauffeurs and vehicles.
How does payment work for a prom booking?
